How we measure Google AI Overviews
We load Google's results page from your market and read the AI Overview. Not every search shows one. When Google shows no AI Overview, that answer counts as “not mentioned”, because there was no AI answer for you to be in, and the count is shown with it.
AI Overviews and AI Mode are measured as two separate engines, because they often disagree.
